14歳のＸ計画
あたしの勤務先から４月に出る本で、
『14歳のＸ計画』
というのがあります。あくまで海外小説ですが、数年前に起きたコロンバインの事件が思い出されます。銃社会・アメリカの一面をえぐった面白い（←決して興味本位ではなく）本になると思います。
ところが、ここへきてまたアメリカで銃乱射事件がありましたね。祖父母を殺して高校へ行って更に同級生など数名を射殺し、結局自殺したという事件、凶悪犯罪が増えていると言われていますが、ちょっと日本では想像できない事件ですね。
ニュースでは、同級生のいじめがあったとか、両親が数年前に自殺しているとか、いろいろ言われていますが、このように現実があまりにもショッキングだと、うちの新刊がどのように世間に迎えられるのか、それが気になります。面白半分、興味本位だけで売れるようなことがないことを祈ります。
